Modules

Every unlocked module is listed under “My modules” – with status, ⚙ for its settings, “Set up overlay” (opens the editor) and a toggle to activate/deactivate. Deactivated modules stay loaded but don't run. Under “Discover modules” you find the ones you can still unlock.

Keywords

Your own variables for all overlays – from fixed text, a file, a web address, a PowerShell command or your own Python code. Everything about it, especially Python and safe mode: Custom keywords & Python.

Share

Export and import templates – see Sharing templates.

Settings

  • Ventoview account: connect or disconnect. Without a connection no modules run.
  • Twitch: for chat, alerts and chat bot. If new permissions are added, reconnect once.
  • Extensions: .vvext files from the website that extend the app (e.g. shortcuts, controllers, MIDI). They are signed – the app only loads genuine ones.
  • Start with Windows, port (usually not needed: if it's taken, the app switches to 47801–47809 by itself), website.
  • Updates: the app checks for new versions by itself – it only installs when you click “Install update”.

Module updates

Every 10 minutes the app checks for new module versions and installs them by itself. If a new module brings a variable you already use as a generator or keyword, it isn't activated – the app tells you where to rename.

Export chat bot (.vviewbot)

On the chat bot, ⚙ → “Export …” saves all bot elements and bot settings into a file – without your channel, so you can share it. “Import …” replaces all bot elements with those from the file.

Hub library

What you take from the hub is stored by the app: templates and effect packs in its library, sounds and images with your own media. It loads Pro content with your account's license – the server only hands it out with an active Ventoview Pro subscription.

Key detection

The app can detect pressed keys globally, even mid-game – for the key display in the Basic module. It only runs while a module needs it and you've turned it on there; nothing is stored.

Full backup (.vview)

Under Settings → “Back up everything …” the app saves all its data into one file: designs, your own media, module settings and data, keywords, Home layout with photos and the app settings. Account and Twitch connections are deliberately not included – they stay on the PC.

“Load backup …” replaces all current data with the data from the file and restarts the app. Before that, Ventoview automatically saves a backup of the current state in Documents\Ventoview\Sicherungen.

If a backup contains keywords with PowerShell commands, the app warns you before loading. Only load backups that come from you.
