Manual › Sharing templates

Sharing templates

Export and import as a folder, hub

Export

  1. Open the Share tab in the app.
  2. Tick templates – with search and module filter (e.g. only Basic templates). Ticked ones stay ticked even when you filter; “Select all visible” and “None” help with many. If you like, also “Include Home settings”.
  3. Optionally enter a folder name and click “Export”.

Ventoview creates a folder in Documents\Ventoview\Teilen: inside are ventoview-export.json and media\ with all your own images, videos and sounds the templates use. Embedded designs (Link module) are included automatically.

Passing it on

Send the whole folder – easiest as a ZIP (right-click → “Send to” → “Compressed (zipped) folder”). The .json file alone isn't enough, images and sounds would be missing.

Import

  1. Unzip and put the folder into Documents → Ventoview → Teilen (in the app: “Open share folder”).
  2. It appears in the app under “Import” – click “Import”. If it's somewhere else: “Choose another folder …”.
  3. You then find the templates in the editor in the selection field at the top.

Existing templates are never overwritten. The modules a template needs must be active in your app.

Hub

Under Home → Hub you find templates, effect packs, sounds and images – with search and filters (type, module, free/Pro). “Add to app” puts them straight into your app:

  • Templates appear in the editor under “Templates” of the matching module.
  • Effect packs are in the editor under “✦ Effects” – a click applies all of the pack's effects to the layer.
  • Sounds and images end up in your own media.

In the editor you can remove templates (×) and effect packs (trash can) again. Default templates can also be hidden – in the hub you simply add them again.

  • By default the hub only shows what you don't have yet. “Show existing” shows the rest (marked “✓ In the editor”).
  • Templates have a small live preview with sample values – it plays on hover. Sounds can be played (volume slider on the right), images are visible directly.
  • All default templates and default effects are also in the hub – if you removed one in the editor, simply add it again here.

Free is for everyone. Pro content only with the Ventoview Pro subscription – a module bought individually doesn't unlock it.
